Sanitation & Recycling
The City provides curbside garbage collection two days per week.
Excluded from regular garbage collection are tires, appliances, mattresses, furtniture, metal, construction debris, or other items which, in whole or in part, will not fit into a 40-gallon garbage can. Pick-up of those items by city crews will be by special charge, based on size and weight, set by the City Manager, and paid for in advance.
Residential Garbage Collection Schedule -
North of U.S. 90 - Monday and Thursday
South of U.S. 90 - Tuesday and Friday
Recycling is collected on Wednesdays. Recycling containers are provided at no charge and available at City Hall. It is not necessary to sort items for recycling.
Vegetative Debris Pickup:
Leaf and limb pickup is on a rotating basis throughout the city limits. Logs or limbs must measure less than 24 inches long and 10 inches in diameter unless by special, pre-paid arrangement.
